As the owner and creative video strategist for UnoDeuce Multimedia, Paul Schmidt reflects on the first half of 2024, filled with exciting developments and accomplishments.
The year began with the addition of three new interns from LCC: Emerson Brown, Adrianna Lamb, and Brandon Edmonds. These interns have not only become valuable team members but have also significantly contributed to various projects, showcasing their potential and the company’s commitment to nurturing talent. While Brandon continues his internship, he is already making remarkable strides.
Paul also highlighted the achievements of past interns. John Hart, who interned in 2021, has become an on-camera reporter for Fox 47. His cohort, Daniel Pena, now works as a video producer for CK and CO in Grand Rapids. Additionally, Beckie Sherwood, an intern from 2009, recently celebrated the birth of her baby boy, Xander. Dale Barton, who has worked with the Lansing Lugnuts, is set to continue his broadcast career at Michigan State University this fall. Congratulations to all these successful individuals!
UnoDeuce Multimedia has been actively involved in fundraising activities, contributing to over $500,000 raised for child and family charities such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and Casa for Kids. This significant achievement not only underscores the company’s commitment to community service but also highlights the impact of its efforts on the community.
This spring marked the launch of season four of the Mission Control podcast. The season is currently in progress, with the fifth episode recently released. Viewers and listeners can subscribe to the podcast on the UnoDeuce Multimedia YouTube channel or any major audio platform, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
In addition to these accomplishments, UnoDeuce Multimedia celebrated the 12th year of the Deucey Awards. This annual event honors compelling stories from the community and clients. Videos of the award-winning stories will soon be available on the company’s YouTube channel, so be sure to stay tuned.
