Hearts, Hands, and Voices is a unique opportunity for young people of all Christian faith and music backgrounds to come together in a safe and welcoming environment to grow spiritually and musically. The centerpiece of our program is a summer camp that immerses our campers in an intentional experiential process. Introduced in 2008 by artistic director Dr. Michael Burkhardt for children, grades 2-7, they are marking their 2013 summer camp season by expanding the program to include offerings for camp alumni and choir directors/music educators.
This year’s camp will run from August 12 – 15, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 30650 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI
The camp runs daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for campers (grades 2-7) with a special experience for camp alumni from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. (grade 8 and above). Choir directors and music educators are offered a three-session workshop from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Everyone returns for a concluding presentation on Thursday evening, August 15th, at 7 p.m.
