CLIENT STORY: Habitat Capital Region

This week’s Client Spotlight is on a non-profit agency whose mission is to build strength, stability, self-reliance, and shelter for families in need.

Fetema and Salah, recent Habitat Capital Region recipients, share their story of relocating from Iraq to the U.S. – and the hardships they faced financially, leading to harsh living conditions. Habitat Capital Region is stepping in to help them have a better life by building them a new home to call their own.

CLIENT STORY: Michigan Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

This week’s Client Spotlight is on Michigan Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), an non-profit organization that is dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse and neglect, one child at a time.

The UnoDeuce team was fortunate enough to sit down with Becky Carson, CASA Executive Director to discuss the CASA Campaign to Care, which trains volunteers throughout the community to advocate for the needs of children in the court system. The ultimate goal is to ensure they end up in the most safe and loving home.

CLIENT STORY: ELCA Network

This week’s Client Spotlight is on the ELCA Network and its headline event: Extravaganza 2022! The ELCA Youth Ministry Network works to strengthen and empower adult leaders of children, youth, and family ministry in service to Christ.

And, while we might be biased, what better way to build anticipation for a big event than with a hype video?!

As you watch our video in this week’s client spotlight, here’s a look at how the ECLA Network describes the annual gathering:

“It is so much more than a conference: it’s space to be stretched, it’s worship, it’s inspiring speakers, it’s learning from colleagues across the country, it’s sharing your insights with others, it’s informative and transformative. The Extravaganza is renewing, educational and connects you with others…then sends you home strengthened for the ministry to which you have been called.

The Extravaganza is for the professional and the volunteer. It is for the old and the young. It is for the urban, the suburban and the rural. It is for pastors, it is for lay people. It is for all adult leaders who share in the adventure we call children, youth and family ministry!”

CLIENT STORY: Rooted Real Estate – Meet the Team

This week’s Client Spotlight is on Rooted Real Estate: the Adriane Lau Team. The world may have taken a pause this past year, but home buyers and sellers kept moving – and so did their agents! We sat down with Adriane Lau, RE/MAX Team leader Associate Broker, to discuss the specific measures they took throughout the pandemic to ensure a seamless home buying and selling process – with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

The pandemic allowed her team of real estate agents to push the boundaries of technology, leading to sizable savings for their clients:

“We’re about 1% under what other buyers were paying, so we were saving our buyers money and getting our sellers more money than the average agent. Those are real numbers – they make a big difference to people.”

CLIENT STORY: Ingham Community Health Centers – Ronald’s Story

This week’s Client Spotlight is on Ingham Community Health Centers, a not-for-profit organization that provides high quality, easily accessible services that its residents value. We sat down with Ronald Charles, Medical Director at Ingham Community Health Centers, to discuss how important it is – more than ever before – to get the flu vaccine this year.

“The symptoms from COVID-19 can be very similar to symptoms of the flu… causing a delay in diagnosis and treatment. You definitely want to eliminate the possibility of the flu.”

CLIENT STORY: Tri-County Office on Aging – Garret’s Story

This week’s Client Spotlight is on Tri-County Office on Aging, a not-for-profit organization that helps older adults access programs and benefits, improve their health, and remain active in their communities. We were fortunate enough to capture Garrett, a Tri-County member, as he spoke about his uplifting experience with the organization:

“I have just about exactly what I need right here now – housekeeping, Meals on Wheels, regular visits from nice people… It’s a solution for a person in my spot. A true solution – and that’s a rare thing indeed.”

CLIENT STORY: Tri-County Office on Aging – Shyla’s Story

This was one of two client story videos that we did for The Tri-County Office on Aging. Shylah is an amazing lady with a story that needed to be told. The Tri-County Office on Aging isn’t just there to help older people, it is there to help all people age gracefully, regardless of who they are.

Tri-County Office on Aging‘s mission is to promote and preserve the independence and dignity of the aging population.
