LOCAL SMALL MULTI-MEDIA PRODUCTION COMPANY WINS BIG AT NATIONAL TELLY AWARDS
DETROIT A Silver Telly Award was presented to UnoDeuce Productions of Sterling Heights,
Michigan, for its editing of the “Spreading God’s Love Through Hip Hop” video project. The
entry was among thousands of national and international TV commercials and programs, as well
as video and film productions submitted for the 26th Annual Telly Awards competition, which
took place late this spring.
The “Spreading God’s Love Through Hip Hop” video project came about when UnoDeuce
Productions was asked by long-time client, Hip Hop Outreach, of Minneapolis, MN, to produce a
video that illustrates and promotes the organization’s mission of spreading God’s message of
ministry to all people through the musical genre of Hip Hop.
“The editing process involved combining several shows, interviews and testimonials to weave a
story about how the organization was established and where it was going, while staying within
the parameters of what Hip Hop Outreach is really about,” said Paul Schmidt, founder and
production manager of UnoDeuce Productions.
Telly Awards judges, who consist of a group of highly qualified advertising, production and
other creative professionals from all regions of the United States, rate each entry on a 10-point
scale. Entries with a score of 9.0 or higher are “Winners” and receive the Silver Telly. Entries
with an average score of 7.0 to 8.9 are “Finalists” and receive the Bronze Telly. Entries do not
compete against each other. Instead, they compete against a high standard of excellence.
