A Little History:
In 2001, a small video company was formed under the name UnoDeuce Productions. Formed by current production director Paul J Schmidt, it was a company that set out to provide low cost high quality media solutions for non-profit, church based and small business organizations. Now after almost a decade, UnoDeuce has won several national awards for it’s work in the video production realm as well as been part of a winning formula for numerous web sites and media production tools for clients across the country. In 2005, UnoDeuce was asked to take over the production responsibilites of local metro Detroit cable program Cooking with Cathy. The show under UnoDeuce is now spread to almost a quarter of a million homes as well as 1,000 views per month online. In 2010, after moving the base of operation from Royal Oak to Lansing, MI, UnoDeuce took productions off of its name and so now it is just UnoDeuce Multimedia. Another original program started that year as well, as Funktified Food with Dan Vaillancourt, a completely original web series blending food and music from national indie recording artist Dan Vaillancourt, began airing in February 2010.
What’s in a name?
What does UnoDeuce mean? Where does it come from? Well, in the search for a unique name, that would completely describe the unique style we approach every project with, we knew that we were just one company but we could offer twice the expected result. And putting a little exotic spin on that we came up with UnoDeuce. One company. Twice the possibilities.
